DEPRAVITY VOLUME2
VOLUME 2 OF DEPRAVITY OF MAN'S HEART
Knowing themselves guilty, they
durst not stand a trial, but absconded, and fled from justice. See here, for the continuation of the Depravity of man's heart.
Satan’s Offer leads to destruction
The falsehood of the tempter, and
the frauds and fallacies of his temptations. He promised them they should be safe,
but now they cannot so much as think themselves so; he said they should not
die, and yet now they are forced to fly or their lives; he promised them they
should be advanced, but they see themselves abased--never did they seem so
little as now; he promised them they should be knowing, but they see themselves
at a loss, and know not so much as where to hide themselves; he promised them
they should be as gods, great, and bold, and daring, but they are as criminals
discovered, trembling, pale, and anxious to escape: they would not be subjects,
and so they are prisoners.
From the outlook of Satan, he
sees that the interaction with Eve was so impressive to the extends that she
got no other choice than to accept and been interested in the offer. That is;
you will not die, you will be like God.
And when she heard all the benefit and the advantage of what the offers would
regenerate, she gave also to her husband with her.
From the point of my view or
understanding It is probable that he was not with her when she was tempted
(surely, if he had, he would have interposed to prevent the sin), but came to
her when she had eaten, and was prevailed upon by her to eat likewise; for it
is easier to learn that which is bad than to teach that which is good. She gave it to him, persuading him with the
same arguments that the serpent had used with her, adding this to all the rest
that she herself had eaten of it, and found it so far from being deadly that it
was extremely pleasant and grateful.
The expression here is to tell
and let us all know about what we have already decided to do in our heart. This
particular page narrated the decision Eve has taken called SDM (Self Decision
Making). What about the one you are doing or about to do. Do you think the
decision you are about to make is a rightful decision that would land you on a
plain land? Watch carefully before you take or make a decision because it would
be a pain to you at last when all what you thought could turn around seem not
to. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. Let
not mercy and truth forsake thee, God's mercy in promising, and his truth in
performing. Do not forfeit these, but live up to them, and preserve thy
interest in them; do not forget these, but live upon them, and take the comfort
of them. Bind them about thy neck, as the most graceful ornament.". I thank God Almighty for is support and able to organized the Depravity of a man's heart volume by volume.
Still on the Depravity of man's heart next is Can't hide from God.
